It is important to understand what effects gluten does have on the body. Research indicates you do not need to have coeliac disease for gluten to negatively impact your health, such as, something known as gluten sensitivity. A review paper in The New England Journal of Medicine listed 55 diseases that included inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and autism as diseases that can be caused by eating gluten.
